The Origin of Vanam
Founded across North India by nature conservationist and planner Vidya P, Vanam arose from a simple observation: urban retreats were becoming too concrete. The traditional, breathable, and deeply satisfying farmhouses of rural North India were being replaced by cookie-cutter modern structures that ignored local topography, topography contour lines, and ecological waterflows.
Vidya combined professional structural insight with botanical horticulture to offer a beautiful, natural alternative. Vanam focuses on building custom farmhouses that respect the land's original slope, prioritizing raw hand-dressed basalt stone, heavy seasoned teak wood timber, chemical-free bio ponds, and native organic fruit orchards.

Our Pillars of Philosophy
Material Honesty
We reject cheap plastic veneers and lightweight hollow blocks. We build using hand-cut local basalt stone, premium seasoned teakwood, structural lime, and terracotta clay tiles. This breathable envelope protects plinths from monsoon rot and keeps interior spaces naturally 5°C cooler.
Contour Integration
We never perform massive flat leveling that destroys topsoil. Every layout matches the agricultural plot's natural contour slope. Houses are raised on stilts or nestled into hillsides, allowing local rainwater paths to flow freely into holding reservoirs.
Ecosystem Balance
We treat every mature tree on your land as an irreplaceable architectural asset. Our landscape layouts integrate campfire circles, drip irrigation pipes, and organic fruit orchards that nourish the soil, attract birds, and establish agricultural legacies.
Milestones & Journey
First Basalt Stone Blueprint
Vivek Parthe drafted our first custom modern Haveli farmhouse design, utilizing natural slaked lime mortars and local heavy black basalt, laying down the structural foundation of the Vanam style.
Vanam Incorporation
Established our physical studio headquarters in Shukrawar Peth, Pune. Formed specialized teams of skilled master stone masons, site surveyors, and horticultural planners.
Biological Pond Pioneers
Engineered our first zero-chlorine biological swimming pond across India, using native water lilies, basalt filter beds, and biological gravel to purify water naturally.
5 Luxury Retreat Legacies Built
Proudly completed 5 massive custom farm retreats across Shimla, Noida, Kasauli, and Mathura, transforming over 2.5 total acres of land into biological wonders.

Vidya leads tropical botanical layout styling, organic fruit orchard enrichment, rain holding reservoirs, campfire placements, and drip irrigation networks. She combines professional structural insight with botanical horticulture to personally supervise Vanam's physical layouts, custom ecological plans, and turnkey execution.
